On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suffering and shame.
The cross is not just a symbol we wear or hang in a church. The cross still matters because it represents the greatest exchange in history, our sin for Christ’s righteousness.
At the cross of Jesus Christ, justice and mercy met. God did not ignore sin. He judged it. But He judged it in His Son so that we could walk free.
At the cross, love was spoken.
At the cross, He carried sin, shame, and sorrow.
At the cross, it exposes pride, rebellion, and brokenness.
At the cross, the veil was torn, we have access to the Father.
The cross still has power.
The cross breaks chains.
The cross heals hearts.
The cross restores identity.
The cross gives hope to the hopeless.
The cross says you are worth dying for.
The cross reminds us that sin is serious, it cost blood.
The cross doesn’t leave us condemned; it offers forgiveness.
The cross still matters because:
• Love still matters
• Grace still matters
• Redemption still matters
• And eternity still matters
The cross is empty, but it still saves, it still transforms, it still speaks.
